Departing the Ottawa International Airport and saying goodbye to two of my biggest supporters - my parents.
Have you ever wanted to just quit your job and leave it all behind to see the world? I have. At 31 with no mortgage, no children and no job (Thank you people of Canada), I’m setting out for a once in a lifetime trip complete with a one-way ticket and my bucket-list. General direction is South East Asia. Timeline is roughly 6-8 months. Maybe less, maybe more. First stop - Thailand. I visited Thailand two years ago and had a wonderful time. It’s beautiful, relaxing and now, familiar. I can’t think of a better place to recover from jet lag, soak up some rays, and get my feet wet for the coming year of adventure. I wouldn’t have been brave enough to take this solo-trip if not for my family and friends who encouraged me – thank you to them. For now - so long Canada.
